Frequently Asked Questions

  • The amount of session depends on the issue you are wanting to work on and you as an individual. But, it’s important to note, therapy sessions work to create baby steps of change. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Remember, most issues have grown over the span of years, so therapy will take time to deeply shift things.

Sometimes, people may require 3 sessions to resolve a recent issue, but most of the time, therapy is a longer process.

For an issue like anxiety, I have often seen 6-10 sessions be effective in creating significant change.

When there is extended childhood trauma, often 10-20 sessions are needed.

For ritualised trauma (like Satanic Ritual Abuse), therapy can require years.

  • I recommend booking sessions weekly or fortnightly. This allows faster and more efficient progress as tying sessions together is easier when less time has passed between them. It is also easier to build new habits and behaviours with sessions being more frequent.

Sometimes, going down to monthly sessions is helpful after a good chunk of the issue has been resolved.

However, I understand there might be financial restrictions that will affect how often you can book. If this is the case, don’t forget you can apply for discounted sessions if needed.

I have a thorough understanding of different diagnosis, but aim to resolve the pain and difficulties you experience.
