Chadash Counselling also relies on donations in order to provide discounted sessions for people who may otherwise struggle to afford the session. Emma believes mental health and spiritual support should be accessible to all people.

(Unfortunately, at the moment, Chadash Counselling is not wheel chair accessible)

Why Emotion-Focused Therapy?

While Emma uses an integrative approach to address each client’s individual goals and needs, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is the primary therapeutic modality used.

EFT is an evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy that uses experiential interventions to address presenting concerns by focusing on core painful emotions that are often difficult to transform through reason or logic alone. By increasing emotional awareness, supporting healthy emotional expression, and engaging in experiential processing techniques, EFT facilitates meaningful transformation.

If you imagine your presenting concern as a tree, EFT is effective in targeting the roots, rather than solely pruning the leaves (the symptoms). EFT allows you to address unmet needs and unprocessed memories and emotions that you may discover are some of these roots, aiming to weaken the whole tree with lasting change.
